Aries

I have to tell you about this particular young man. His name is Aries. He is 12 years old, and he is a father of an infant.

Aries is about to be an 8th grader. He is one of the most polite young men around, and he is always at Rainbow Express. We asked him why he comes and it is clear that he has a relationship with The Lord. Now he wants his son to grow up with one as well.

Stories like these never get old. God will do a great work in Aries' life as well as in his son's.

We are excited about today! It is the day we present the plan of salvation through a bracelet! Be in prayer for our students!!!

Pride

I want you to know that I am a very proud man (not in a bad way, but I will get to that).

Anytime we come to mission Arlington I am reminded of the verse that says, "whatever you do... Do it as into The Lord." What do you see when you look at these pictures:

(Ok, that last one was for fun!)

I see kids who are serving The Lord through other kids. If you look, you will see that all of our Lake Pointe students are properly mixed in with other kids, playing, loving, serving. I am proud of how our God is at work in and through the lives of our students.

Every kid,

Jeremy

Family

(I just realized that while I thought this posted last night, it didn't. I'm sorry!)

One of things that I am quickly reminded of at Mission Arlington is just how unique the body of Christ is. In our 4:00 worship time, there were people whose age range from somewhere near 80 down to 12. All different races. More than 350 people were there. Yet they all had one purpose: Serve and glorify God.

That essentially sums up my prayer request for the week: pray that our students will put off everything that hinders them and simply serve The Lord with everything they have!

Our students and adults did an awesome job passing out fliers and worshipping and having fun too. There is a good team unity and energy, but it is only day one. Here we go for real!
